tached slings.
Î When lifting the control valve, make sure
that the slings attached to the valve body
bear the entire load.
Î Do not attach slings to the pipe elbow.
Î Do not attach load-bearing slings to any
valve accessories.
Î Observe lifting instructions (see sec-
tion 4.3.2).

4.3.1

Transporting the valve

The control valve can be transported using
lifting equipment (e.g. crane or forklift).
Î Leave the control valve in its transport
container or on the pallet to transport it.
Î Observe the transport instructions.
Transport instructions
− Protect the control valve against external
influences (e.g. impact).
− Do not damage the corrosion protection
(paint, surface coatings). Repair any
damage immediately.
− Protect the piping and any mounted
valve accessories against damage.
− Protect the control valve against moisture
and dirt.
− Observe the permissible temperature
range (see section 3.3).
