    The car seat has been designed, tested and approved for use in accordance with the requirements of UN/ECE Regulation No. 129 concerning the approval of child restraint systems (UN/ECE R129/03). The XPAND 2 i-Size car seat is designed for transporting children with a height between 100-150 cm (up to approx. 12 years of age).

    3.0 Safety instructions WARNINGS Please take a few minutes to read this instruction manual in order to ensure the proper safety of your child. Many injuries that are easy to avoid are caused by reckless and improper use of the car seat.
  • Page 4 • The entire backrest surface of the Kinderkraft XPAND 2 should be flush with the car seat backrest • Regularly check the technical condition of the car seat, pay special attention to fixing points, to provide the best possible protection for your child.
  • Page 5 4.0 Folding/unfolding the backrest of the car seat To fold the seat, pull up the lever with the belt for folding the backrest (8). Folding the seat is possible only when the headrest is set to at least its eleventh hight position and the side protection elements are not folded out.

IMPORTANT The vehicle manual provides the location of the installation points and other necessary information for installing the car seat in your vehicle.
  • Page 8 • The waist belt should be positioned under the armrests through the waist belt guides (6). The B.4c B.5a shoulder belt should be placed under the armrest (3) (Fig. B.4c). Tighten the vehicle seat belt by pulling first on the waist belt section, then on the shoulder belt section.

    • You can now adjust the headrest (1) to one of the 15 selected positions to the desired height (Fig. C.3). When the height is adjusted, let go of the adjusting handle (7) - the headrest will be locked after gently adjusting the height up and down. When adjusting the headrest, the backrest of the seat and the sides expand to match the child's height.
