G726: Like the G.711 Codec, it also comes from conventional telephony. The bandwidth consumption is much lower (32kbit/s)
and was introduced as an improvement to take advantage of the telephony trunks offered by operators.
The most commonly used and recommended codecs are Ulaw and Alaw.
SIP PHONES
It allows you to add for each phone, extension, display name on the screen (in the case of phones with a screen), username,
password and registration times).
Username: Displays the Extension number or name.
Machine Name: Displays the name assigned to the computer.
Registered: Indicates if the customer has registered.
Delay: Indicates the milliseconds of delay.
Information: Contains all the information of the device, connected to that extension.
To edit SIP phones, press the edit button and the following screen will appear:
The following parameters will have to be configured on this screen:
Account enabled: The account is activated when you select this check box.
Extension number: Displays the name or extension number of the zone.
Display Name: Displays the name that will appear on the phone screen (if you have it). If nothing is entered, what the
phone that initiates the call sends will be displayed.
Authorization ID: Must be equal to the registration identifier.
Authorization password: Registration password.
Registration time value: The duration of the registration of an extension in the switchboard.
