9. Insert the left end of the integrated camera bracket into the corresponding loop
then press the bracket until it snaps into position and is secured by the tab.

10. Reconnect the integrated-camera cable to the new integrated camera.

Replacing the cover presence switch
Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the cover presence switch, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 96.
4. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 101.
5. Remove the system-board shield. See "Replacing the system-board shield" on page 102.
6. Locate the cover presence switch. See "Computer components" on page 33.
7. Disconnect the cover presence switch cable from the cover presence switch connector on the system
board. See "Parts on the system board" on page 41.
8. Remove the cover presence switch by pivoting it outward.
