7. Position the new system-board shield on the chassis so that the four screw holes in the system-board
shield align with the corresponding holes in the chassis.
8. Install the four screws to secure the system-board shield to the chassis.

To replace the system-board shield, do the following:
1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect
all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 96.
4. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 101.
5. Locate the system-board shield. See "Computer components" on page 33.
6. Remove the five screws that secure the system-board shield to the chassis, and then remove the
system-board shield from the chassis.
