9. Insert the new Wi-Fi card into the M.2 Wi-Fi card slot. Ensure that the Wi-Fi card is inserted firmly. Then,
pivot the Wi-Fi card downward so that the screw notch on the Wi-Fi card aligns with the mounting stud
on the chassis.
Note: Do not touch the notched edge of the Wi-Fi card.

10. Position the Wi-Fi card shield over the Wi-Fi card so that the screw on the shield aligns with the
mounting stud on the chassis. Then, connect the Wi-Fi antenna cables to the Wi-Fi card, and then install
the screw on the Wi-Fi card shield to secure the Wi-Fi card to the system board.

Replacing a Wi-Fi antenna

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace a Wi-Fi antenna, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 96.
4. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 101.
