6 Basic operation
6.3.3 Charge the battery in the camera — via a computer
1. Open the cover at the top of the camera.
2. Connect the camera to a computer, using the USB cable.
3. Power on the camera.
Note Charging the battery via a computer takes considerably longer time than using
the battery charger or power supply.

6.4 Power on/off

6.4.1 Power on

To power on the camera, push the On/Off button.

6.4.2 Standby

When the camera is in on and in live mode, push the On/Off button. This puts the camera
in standby mode.
You can also set up the camera to enter standby mode after a period of inactivity. Select
Settings > Device settings > Auto power off.

6.4.3 Power off

To power off the camera, push and hold the On/Off button.
Note Do not remove the battery to power off the camera.
6.5 Power on/off
To power on and off the camera, push the On/Off button.
Note Do not remove the battery to power off the camera.

6.6 Save an image

To save an image, pull the trigger.
