Description
The printer uses standard random access memory (RAM)
to buffer temporarily user data during simple print jobs.
The printer may use two forms of nonvolatile memory:
EEPROM and NAND (flash memory). Both types store the
operating system, printer settings, and network
information. They also store bookmark settings and
embedded solutions.
Some printers may have an ISD installed. ISD uses
nonvolatile flash memory to store user data from complex
print jobs, form data, and font data.
