Removing the lower triple clamp

Position the brake caliper. Mount and tighten screws

Finishing work

Install the front wheel.
Preparatory work

Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (

Remove the front wheel.

Remove the fork legs.

Remove the start number plate. (

Remove front fender. (
–
Take off the handlebar cushion.
Main work

Remove screw
. Detach the wiring harness.

Remove screw

–
Take off the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and
place to one side.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against
damage.
Do not kink the cables or lines.

Remove steering head seal
–
Remove the lower triple clamp with steering stem.
–
Remove the upper steering head bearing.
25 Nm (18.4 lbf ft)
