8 Wiring 8.1 Grounding The TAE 1244 is grounded via the TP. The device must be grounded to protective earth (PE) via the blade terminal provided. In addition, ensure that when installing into the control cabinet, a large grounding surface is provided. It is important to establish a low- Ohm connection to ground to ensure error-free function.
TAE 1244 BUILD-IN TOUCH TERMINAL 8.3 ESD Protection CAUTION Typically, USB devices (keyboard, mouse, etc.) are equipped with non- shielded cables. These devices are disrupted by ESD and in some instances, no longer function. Before any device is connected or disconnected, the potential should be equalized (by touching the control cabinet or ground terminal).
BUILD-IN TOUCH TERMINAL TAE 1244 9 Transport/Storage INFORMATION This device contains sensitive electronics. During transport and storage, high mechanical stress must therefore be avoided. For storage and transport, the same values for humidity and vibration as for operation must be maintained! Temperature and humidity fluctuations may occur during transport.
