4. Select the color pairs with faint or missing segments in the check pattern, then select OK to start the
cleaning cycle.
Note: A typical head cleaning cycle takes about 4 to 10 minutes. The more color pairs selected, the
longer it takes to perform cleaning. Depending on the status of the nozzles and the Auto Clean Max
Repeat setting, this function can take up to 28 minutes.
When the cleaning cycle is finished, a confirmation screen appears.
Caution: Never turn off the product during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it.
5. Select Yes to print a nozzle check pattern.
6. Check the printed pattern to see if there are gaps in the lines.

7. Follow the instructions on the screen to clean the print head, check the nozzles, and repeat the
process as necessary.
If you don't see any improvement after cleaning the print head several times, run a Power Cleaning.
