Adjusting/Calibrating
Carburetors (2000)
0747-547
The carburetors have been adjusted/cali-
brated at the factory for average riding
conditions; however, altitude, tempera-
ture, and general wear may necessitate
certain carburetor adjustments.
0749-003
For information on altitude operation,
see Varying Altitude Operation sub-
section in the Operating Instructions
section.
Carburetor adjustments critically affect
engine performance; therefore, the fol-
lowing three external adjustments and
two internal calibrations can be made on
each carburetor.
0747-766
Make sure to perform these adjust-
ment/calibration procedures on both
carburetors.
NOTE: The following external car-
buretor adjustments may be done by
the snowmobile owner if qualified to
do so. If the owner does not feel
qualified, take the snowmobile to an
authorized Arctic Cat Snowmobile
dealer for this service. This service
is at the discretion and expense of
the snowmobile owner.
