The Coast Guard or state, county and municipal law enforce- ment agencies require certain additional accessory safety equipment on each boat.
Throwable devices must be immediately available for use. All Non-Pyrotechnic Devices Everglades boats must be equipped with at least Non-Pyrotechnic visual distress signals must be one Type I, II or III PFD for each person on board, in serviceable condition, readily accessible and plus one throwable device (Type IV).

Helm Control Systems 4.5 Engine Stop Switch Your boat is equipped with an engine stop switch and lanyard. When the lanyard is pulled it will engage the switch and shut off the engine. We strongly recommend that the lanyard be attached to the driver whenever the engine is running.
Helm Control Systems lever is released, it automatically locks the steer- ing wheel at or close to that angle. Electrical System When the switch is in the OFF position the pump is controlled by an automatic float switch that is activated whenever the batteries are connected. The pump will run as needed whenever the water in the bilge accumulates high enough to raise the float switch to the ON position and turn off when the water is removed.
You should also not mix the size or brand of the motor, it will also be equipped with a 36-volt DC wet cell batteries. Always consult your Everglades electrical system that provides power to the troll- dealer before changing the type of batteries in ing motor.

9.2 Cockpit Sole Drains Your Everglades has two scupper drains located in the rear of the cockpit. External check valves reduce the surge of seawater through the scup- pers and into the cockpit while maneuvering or in rough water.
Drainage Systems When the boat is out of the water the bilge can be drained by a garboard drain located in the transom near the bottom of the hull. The plug should be removed whenever the boat is hauled out of the water and installed just prior to launching.
Drainage Systems drain plug in the bottom of the fishbox when the boat is underway. A reverse scoop located below the drain plug creates a vacuum at the drain fitting whenever the boat is operating at speeds above 15 mph that will quickly drain the fishbox. Always set the boat speed to at least 15 mph before re- moving the drain plug and reinstall and tighten the plug immediately when draining is complete.
