Hot start may be set too low
Poor work clamp connection
Current may be set too high for electrode size Adjust current
Hot start set too high
Current may be set too low for electrode size
Arc force set too low
Wrong Process setting

Trigger or hand/foot Amptrol may
be accidentally closed during start up
Input voltage is too high or too low
Faulty PC Boards or connections
Losing input to machine
Faulty Components, PC Boards or

COURSE OF ACTION
Access "SMAW"menu (see operation section) and
increase "HSTR" setting
Check and secure work connection
Access "SMAW"menu (see operation section) and
reduce "HSTR" setting
Adjust current
Access "SMAW" menu (see operation section) and
increase "FRCE" setting
Set Process for Crisp Stick
COURSE OF ACTION
Turn machine off, open trigger or
Amptrol, then turn machine on
Check input voltage (115V to 460V)
Contact your local Lincoln Authorized Field Service
Facility.
Check input fuses and connection
Contact your local Lincoln Authorized Field Service
Facility.
