DocuPrint 900/1300 User's Guide
Preface
Welcome to the Xerox DocuPrint 900/1300 printing system. The DocuPrint
900/1300 contains an ultra high-speed duplex printer that uses two Electron
Beam Imaging print engines and a powerful front-end VISTA console. VISTA
allows you to accept Advance Function Presentation (AFP) or Xerox data
streams and to take total control of the printing operations.
This User's Guide is intended for use by personnel who are required to
operate the DocuPrint 900/1300 printing system.
About This Manual
This manual is organized as follows:
Chapter 1: Introducing the DocuPrint 900/1300 provides an overview
of the equipment and the printing process.
Chapter 2: System Components: Basic Operation and Control
provides the basic information of how the printing system components
operate and how to control them.
Chapter 3: Printing System Operation provides the step-by-step
procedures on power sequences, paper management, print job
adjustments, print quality management, and error detection and recovery.
Chapter 4: Preventive Maintenance and Troubleshooting contains the
recommended preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. It also
contains troubleshooting information that allows you to do a quick
recovery.
Chapter 5: Operator Interface describes the printing system operator
functions used to control and monitor print operations.
Appendix A: Job Setup and Initialization Files includes reference
materials for managing the VISTA system.
Appendix B: Accelerator Keys provides a quick reference for
accelerator keys used within the operator interface.
