Job Setup and Initialization Files
Profile Keyword Options
The following tables describe the keywords for each of the profile types.
Default values for the keywords are underlined in the table.
Generic Profile These keywords may be used in any profile type, whether it be an Xerox job

profile or a AFP job profile.
Generic Keyword Function
ALIGNXBACK Moves printed output along the portrait X-
axis, in 1/14,400-inch increments, on the
back of the page.
ALIGNXFRONT Moves printed output along the portrait X-
axis, in 1/14,400-inch increments, on the
front of the page.
ALIGNYBACK Moves printed output along the portrait Y-
axis, in 1/14,400-inch increments, on the
back of the page.
ALIGNYFRONT Moves printed output along the portrait Y-
axis, in 1/14,400-inch increments, on the
front of the page.
COMMENT Passes a Tape Mount message through
to the separator pages.The message
(for tape input)
must be enclosed in quotation marks.
COPIES Specifies how many copies to be printed. A valid number
DATASOURCE Defines the name of data file to process.
This could be a file name or a client
name.
DATATYPE Defines the source of the print data.
DEFAULTNATIVEFONT Defines the name of the coded font
resource to be used as the job default
font.
DEFAULTVIRTUALFONT Defines the default virtual font to be used.
This is a required keyword.
DELETEINPUT Specifies whether the Executive is to
delete the input file for a disk job when the
job is finished. This option is generated
automatically by VIPConnect.
DELVDDAFTERJOB Defines whether to suppress deletion of
all VDDs until after a job has finished
processing.
FORM Specifies the pre-printed forms required.
HARDWAREORIGIN Defines whether to rotate the pages when
printing.

Generic Keyword Function
HOLDJOB Specifies whether or not the job is to be
submitted on hold.
HOLDVDD Specifies whether or not to save the VDD
file after processing.
HOSTFORM Specifies the host form name that
appears on banner pages.
HOLDOUTPUT Specifies whether output processing is to
be held.
INPUT Defines the name of the input group or
single client to do the input processing.
Value entered must be coordinated with
the value of the TYPE keyword.
INPUTENDPAGE Defines the page number of the last page
to be processed into VDD format by the
input filter.
INPUTENDSIDE Defines the number of the last side to be
processed into VDD format by the input
filter.
INPUTSTARTPAGE Defines the page number of the first page
to be processed into VDD format by the
input filter.
INPUTSTARTSIDE Defines the number of the first side to be
processed into VDD format by the input
filter.
IOSEPARATION Specifies how many sides (upper limit)
the input can get ahead of output before
input processing is paused and at how
many sides that input will resume
(resume limit).
JOBSET Defines the Job Set be used.
MAXOUTSIDESPERMIN Sets the maximum output rate in sides
per minutes. Value should be 10-50%
over the rated speed of the printer.
MAXSIDESPERMIN Sets the maximum input rate in sides per
minutes. Value should be 10-50% over
the rated speed of the printer.
NATIVERESOURCETYPE Defines the native resource type to be
used. This is only used by sample utilities.
OUTPUT Defines the name of the output group or
single client to do the output processing.
If the Profile contains a DATASINK value,
the output will be processed to a tape.
OUTPUTENDPAGE Defines the page number of the last page
to be printed by the output driver.
