2 Safety

2.1 General Safety Information

WARNING!
Risk of injury or damage
– The Lift-Out Chair is to be used by one person
at a time.
– Do not sit on the leg rest or armrests, they are
not designed for this purpose.
– Do not lean on the leg or backrest when sitting
down, as this could cause the Lift-Out Chair
to tip over.
– The Lift-Out Chair MUST be used with its seat
cushion and backrest.
– Do not try to sit in the armchair when it is in
the raised position. Always leave the armchair
in the seated position when not in use.
– Always place the Lift-Out Chair on a completely
flat surface to ensure optimal stability during
use.

Risk of injury
– Before installing or using the armchair, ensure
that no person (more particularly a child) or
animal is present within the area of operation
of the armchair.
– The leg rest folds in as it closes and could
injure a child. Keep children's hands and feet
well clear of the leg rest and the scissor or
elevator mechanism.
– Ensure that arms and legs are not within the
perimeter of the armchair's elevator mechanism
or in contact with it. If it is necessary to
remove objects that have fallen under the
armchair, it is imperative to disconnect the
power supply beforehand.
DANGER!
Risk of Death or Serious injury
The cover of the product is not designed to be
fire-resistant.
– Do not smoke in the Lift-Out Chair, if you have
difficulties getting up or if your mobility is
impaired.
– If any part of the armchair should catch
fire, only use an approved powder type fire
extinguisher.
– Never place the armchair close to a major
source of heat or ignition (fireplace, electric
heater, gas heater, oil heater, etc).
– Do not expose the Lift-Out Chair to direct
sunlight (UV) for a prolonged period of time.
