Utilities
The Utility section of the 240 and 241 DriveRack™ units, contains many important functions.
The Utility section gives you the ability to perform several key operational functions to the
DriveRack™ including:
Display contrast settings. Use this section of the manual to make yourself familiar with all
aspects of the Utility menu of the DriveRack™ system.
To protect all detailed parameter editing and configuration modification settings of your
DriveRack™ unit, the Utility menu of the DriveRack™ system includes a complete security sys-
tem set-up. This security system allows you to set security access to every module, with secu-
rity levels that vary from low to high. By providing different levels of access, this ensures lim-
ited access to different users. This security system also allows you to create unique passwords
which will limit/prevent any other users from access to the system. The following information
is provided to help you set all security parameters.
• Prior to setting security passwords you will access the security menu by pressing the UTIL-
ITY button and use the PREV PG and NEXT PG buttons to move to the first page of secu-
rity/password pages of the Utility section. The display will appear as follows:

• Note that the underscore indicates the currently selected parameter for editing. To select
parameters to edit from the current page, simply press the DATA wheel until the underscore
is under the parameter that you wish to edit.
• Once the parameter to edit has been selected, rotate the DATA wheel to edit parameter
values.
• When the module type is selected, rotating the DATA wheel is used to select modules and
functions which are available for selecting security levels. Items include: Program changes,
Program list, Mutes, Store, Inputs, Pre EQ, Pre Delay, Crossover, Post EQ, Dynamics, Post
Delay and Outputs.
• The security level (High, Med or Low) type is selected by rotating the DATA wheel, which
is used to select either the High, Medium or Low level of security for the currently selected
module or function.
