7. Hold the brake clutch (3) and pull the drive bar (1) towards the handle (2) (Fig.
26). The product moves forward and starts mowing.

WARNING! The starting position should be as described in the instruction
manual. Fig.

illustrates the defined starting position. The operator should
start the engine behind the handle (2). Do not start the engine while standing
on the side of the product as shown on Fig. B.

Warm start
1. Pull the brake clutch (3) towards the handle (2) and hold it in position (Fig. 23).
2. Stand behind the handle (2).
3. Place the recoil starter handle (25) onto the hook (24) located on the right-hand
side of the upper handle bar (4) (Fig. 25).
4. Pull the recoil starter handle (25) lightly until you feel resistance then pull it rapidly.
Do it repeatedly until the engine starts (Fig. 24).
5. During operation rest the recoil starter handle (25) onto the hook (24) (Fig. 25).
6. Hold the brake clutch (3) and pull the drive bar (1) towards the handle (2) (Fig.
26). The product moves forward and starts mowing.
NOTE: If the engine does not start, it may be flooded. Flooding is caused
by too much fuel injected into the combustion chamber and can prevent the
engine from starting. To resolve flooding follow the below procedure:
1. Remove the spark plug located under the spark plug connector (15) and
dry it - see the separate operator's manual of the BRIGGS&STRATTON
engine (30).
2. Wait for
10
minutes until fuel vapours and refit the spark plug. Clean up
any spilt fuel and move the product at least
the engine to avoid any accidental fire.
3. Start the engine.
