Note: Each card has
one
cable connections. One cable connection is required for load balancing function to be enabled. Individual
connectors are keyed to ensure proper plugging of the cable to cards. Cable to be installed onto cards when cards are assembled into
PCI slots

and
5
in the 4723-N2A & 4723-N4B appliance.
1.
Read the safety and installation information for the appliance. Exercise care for the handling of static-sensitive devices
as outlined in the installation guidelines during this service operation.
2.
Turn off the appliance and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables, if necessary.
3.
Remove the top cover.
4.
Due to the limited space for cable routing, the PCI Riser Cage should be removed before replacing cards and or cable.
5.
Remove PCI Cage 2 then cage 1. Be careful not to crimp any portion of the cable. PCIe Cage Removal illustrated in
Figure 1.

Firmly press the cable assembly connector to the connector on both primary and secondary PCI cards. Cable Plug location
illustrated in Figure 2.
