Closing the fuel tank cap

Gasoline engine
Unleaded gasoline, Research Octane Number 91 or higher
Diesel engine
Diesel fuel, Cetane Number 48 or higher

Use of ethanol blended gasoline in a gasoline engine
Toyota allows the use of ethanol blended gasoline where the ethanol con-
tent is up to 10 %. Make sure that the ethanol blended gasoline to be used
has a Research Octane Number that follows the above.

Vehicles without sub fuel tank system
Approximately 93 L (24.6 gal., 20.5 lmp. gal.)
Vehicles with sub fuel tank system
Approximately 138 L (36.5 gal., 30.4 lmp. gal.)

When replacing the fuel tank
cap, turn it until a clicking sound
is heard.
After releasing your hand, the cap
will turn slightly to the opposite
direction.
