instructions for replacing the battery before mea suring tempera-
ture. Do not expect an accurate temperature reading if this low
battery indicator is present. An «ERR» message in the window
indicates your unit is not functioning properly.
• Do not eat or drink anything hot or cold 10 minutes before the
measurement. The mouth should remain closed up to 2 minutes
before starting a reading.
• Place the sensor tip well under the ton gue as

indicated by the (fig. 1).
• The peak temperature should be reached
in approximately 60 seconds. Opening the
mouth or improper placement of the probe
tip could result in a longer time for a read-
ing.
3. When the peak temperature is reached,
the °C symbol will stop flashing, and the thermometer will beep
repeatedly. NOTE: It is not necessary to hear the beep to
ensure the peak temperature has been reached. When the
°C symbol stops flashing and the display reads a consistent
temperature, the peak temperature has been reached.
4. Read and record the temperature and time for reference. The
reading will automatically be stored in the memory.
5. Push the ON/OFF button to turn off the unit. The unit will shut off
automatically in approx. 10 minutes if you do not turn it off.
Rectal Method
Lie on your side with knees slightly bent. With one hand, gently slide
the tip of the thermometer 2 to 3 cm into the rectum. Once used rec-
tally, the thermometer should not be used orally for sanitary reasons.
Vaginal Method
Please seek guidance from your health care professional.
Taking vaginal temperatures is beyond the scope of this manual.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Follow instructions for use. This document provides important prod-
uct operation and safety information regarding this device. Please
read this document thoroughly before using the device and keep for
future reference.
• The instrument may be used only for measuring body temperature!
• Do not use this device if you think it is damaged or notice anything
unusual.
• We recommend cleaning this device according to the cleaning
instructions before first use for personal hygiene.
• Do not attempt rectal measurements on persons with rectal disor-
ders. Doing so may aggravate or worsen the disorder.
• The minimum measurement time until the beep is heard must be
maintained without exception!
• Ensure that children do not use this device unsupervised; some parts
are small enough to be swallowed. Be aware of the risk of strangula-
tion in case this device is supplied with cables or tubes.
• The function of this device may be compromised when used close
to strong electromagnetic fields such as mobile phones or radio
installations and we recommend a distance of at least 1 m. In cases
where you suspect this to be unavoidable, please verify if the device
is working properly before use.
• Protect the instrument from impact and dropping!
• Avoid ambient temperatures above 60 °C. NEVER boil the instrument!
• Use only the commercial disinfectants listed in the section «Cleaning
and Disinfecting» to clean the device to avoid damage to the device.
• We recommend this device is tested for accuracy every two years or
after mechanical impact (e.g. being dropped). Please contact your
local Microlife-Service to arrange the test.
WARNING: Battery should not be charged or placed into
extreme heat as it may explode.
Batteries and electronic instruments must be disposed of in
accordance with the locally applicable regulations, not with
domestic waste.

Please refer to the sample recording and blank temperature

4. Odczytaj i zanotuj temperaturę i czas pomiaru w celach
informacyjnych. Pomiar może być automatycznie zapisy-
wany w pamięci.
5. Naciśnij przycisk ON/OFF, aby wyłączyć urządzenie.
Jeśli nie wyłączysz urządzenia to urządzenie wyłączy się
automatycznie po około 10 minutach.
Metoda Rektalna (rectal)
Połóż się na boku z lekko ugiętymi kolanami. Z jednej
strony delikatnie przesuń końcówki termometr 2 do 3 cm do
odbytnicy. Po wykorzystaniu doodbytniczo, termometr pow-
inien nie być stosowane doustnie ze względów sanitarnych.
Metoda pochwy
Należy postępować zgodnie z instrukcjami dla pra-
cowników służby zdrowia. Odczytywanie temperatury z
pochwy jest poza zakresem niniejszej instrukcji.
WAŻNE WSKAZOWKI BEZPIECZEŃSTWA
• Postępuj zgodnie z instrukcją użytkowania. Ten doku-
ment zawiera ważne informacje o działaniu produktu i
informacje dotyczące bezpie-czeństwa dotyczące tego
urządzenia. Przeczytaj dokładnie ten doku-ment przed
użyciem urządzenia i zachowaj go na przyszłość.
• Termometr jest przeznaczony tylko do mierzenia temper-
atury ciała!

osób dorosłych; jego niektóre, niewielkie części mogą
zostać łatwo połknięte. Jeżeli urządzenie wyposażone
jest w przewody lub rurki, może powodować ryzyko
uduszenia.
• Działanie tego urządzenia może być zagrożone, gdy jest
ono używane w pobliżu silnych pól elektromagnetycznych,
takich jak telefony komórkowe lub urządzenia radiowe.
Polecamy odległość co najmniej 1 m od źródeł promien-

onych w sekcji «Czyszczenie i dezynfekcja», aby uniknąć
jego uszkodzenia.
