REMEDY
Make sure the jack from the power supply is properly inserted in its socket.
Make sure the power supply is properly inserted in the main outlet socket.
Make sure that, after the matrix opening, the LED wiring connector was not
disconnected.
Make sure the matrix has the same communication protocol as the
keyboard (see configuration dip switches in section 3.4.2.2).
Make sure the communication rate is the same as the setting for the
keyboards (see configuration dip switches).
Make sure the cables are intact and follow the wiring diagrams (see the
chapter on installation). Do not exceed the maximum allowed
distances(1200 m).
Output 4 has been set for control by VCR trigger. If it is to be controlled by
the keyboard go to the 'External triggers' item and set Use VCR: No.
Some keyboard models (KS KBJ, KS KBK e Videotec DCT), allow the
control of some output videos to be disabled. See the specific keyboard
manual and check the settings for the output videos that can be controlled
by the keyboard.
In the menu for the Aux line, make sure protocol and baud rate settings for
the line are the same as those for the receiver/mux to be controlled
The matrix and hence all the keyboards should have the MACRO protocol
setting and the same baud rate
Check the wiring for the Aux line with that shown in the installation chapter.
Check the menu for enabling Coax Telemetry Transmission via coaxial
cable.
The matrix and keyboards should have the MACRO protocol setting with
the same baud rate
The receiver address should be the same as that of the input video to which
it is connected by coaxial cable (e.g. input video 4 / receiver with address 4
)
Make sure the coaxial cable is intact. Do not insert video distributor,
amplifiers or equalisers between the telemetry receiver and matrix input. Do
not exceed the maximum allowed distance for telemetry transmission via
coaxial cable (350 m)
Use the menu to make sure the switching sequences have been set up with
the input videos present.
If manual switching is carried out on an input video that is not present, a
completely black screen without identification text will be shown.
Check the switching sequence setting in the switching sequence menu.
Try and adjust the camera iris until a clear image appears.
Check the identification text menu to see if there is actually a text setting for
the input on display.
Enter the menu to check the video code setting: PAL or NTSC. If the PAL
system is used, an error setting in NTSC will shift the identification texts.
Vice versa, if an NTSC system is used, an error setting in PAL will cause
the identification texts to be lowered.
Some types of monitor have problems with non-interlaced video signals. Set
Interlaced: YES. In any case this setting has no effect during normal matrix
operation.
