Read this manual thoroughly before driving or
operating the Powerchair.
If you have any doubt about the content of this
manual then contact the dealer to resolve any
problem. Please read this manual thoroughly and
ensure the Powerchair is maintained regularly.
Within this manual there are important

with the sign (left) Make sure that you
understand all these notices. If you

operating the Powerchair.
Pinchpoint symbol: Wherever you
see this sign there is a nearby risk of
injury owing to a pinch or crushing

Intended Use of the
Powerchair
The Rascal Rhythm SL Powerchair is designed for
use by adults with a disability (up to the maximum
recommended
weight
Specification section of this manual) that require a
manoeuvrable, robust, comfortable Powerchair.
The Rascal Rhythm SL being capable outdoors in
Rear-Wheel Drive mode as well as highly
manoeuvrable for use in tight spaces indoors in
either Rear Wheel Drive or Front Wheel Drive
mode. The seat can be rotated easily to switch
between the Rear-Wheel Drive and Front-Wheel
Drive modes.
The Rascal Rhythm SL powerchair also has a
125mm (5") Seat Lift capability for added flexibility
and convenience for the user.
The Powerchair is intended for use indoors on hard
or smooth surfaces in both Front-Wheel and Rear
Wheel Drive mode, and in Rear-Wheel Drive
modes for outdoors use. Kerbs should be avoided,
but the Powerchair can mount kerbs and small
obstacles up to that as specified in the Technical
Specification section.
Users could endanger themselves and or others if
they are not capable of driving the Powerchair
safely. Dealers will advise on the most suitable
Powerchair from the Electric Mobility Rascal range,
but it is the user's responsibility to ensure that they
have the manual dexterity to drive the Powerchair,
adequate sight and hearing to perceive danger in
time, and can at all times operate the Powerchair
safely in the expected conditions. If in doubt then
consult a healthcare professional and the nearest
dealer for advice on the most suitable Powerchair
for the particular condition. Users should also
regularly assess their ability to operate their
Powerchair safely.
The Rascal Rhythm SL Powerchair has relatively
small castor wheels for good manoeuvrability so
they should not be used on uneven, pot-holed or
rutted surfaces or slippery grassy areas.
Some of the functions of the Rhythm SL
Powerchair require the support of an attendant.
Both attendant and user are to read this guide
thoroughly before use.
