6. Check both armrests are down and at a
comfortable position.
7. Make sure the way ahead is clear.
8. Switch on the power. Check the battery level
indicator is in the green area and fully charged.
9. Switch off when not in use. To conserve the
batteries and prevent the vehicle accidentally
moving, always turn off the power when the
Powerchair is not in use.
Warning!
Read this before driving the
Powerchair! Whether or not this is the first
mobility
Powerchair,
guidelines as all Powerchairs differ. Failure to do
this may cause damage to you, a third party or
the Powerchair.
Check-
there is no damage to the Powerchair
before use.
All adjustment thumb-wheels are fully
tightened.
Any accessories are properly attached.
User is capable of controlling the
Powerchair at all times.
Seat is locked into the Front-Wheel or
Rear Wheel drive position.
Kerbs and Obstacles: Try to avoid taking the
Powerchair over obstacles or kerbs. Tackle
obstacles head on.
Bad Weather: We suggest that it is better to stay at
home in bad weather. Remember that you can
become wet and cold. Suitable clothes should
always be worn. A high visibility jacket should be
considered if you are in poor visibility. Remember
not to use the Powerchair in poor light or darkness.
Range. The Powerchair has a limited range.
Always ensure that the planned journey does not
exceed the maximum range in the Technical
Specification section and that the battery is fully
charged.

Driving the Powerchair

1. Ensure the way ahead is clear.
2. Switch on the power. Check the battery level
indicator is in the green area.
3. Speed Control. Set the speed control to a low
setting.
4. Gently push the joystick in the direction you
wish to go. The vehicle will now move off. The further
you push the joystick the faster the vehicle will go.
5. To brake, return the joystick to the
neutral position. If you become unsure or
feel unsafe release the joystick immediately.
6. As you get accustomed to the power you can
increase the speed.
7. Switch Off when not in use. To conserve
batteries and prevent the vehicle accidentally
moving, always turn off the power when the
Powerchair is not in use.).
Tip: If you do leave the Powerchair switched on for
a prolonged period of time without using it, it will
enter a sleep mode to conserve power. To
reactivate the Powerchair, the On/Off key will need
to be turned to the "Off" position and then back to
the "On" position.
Range. Ensure you fully charge the Powerchair and
do not overestimate the range as many factors such
as user weight, weather and terrain can all affect
range performance.
Front-Wheel Drive. When in Front-Wheel drive
mode the maximum speed is reduced to 3 m.p.h. (5
km/h) as this is for use indoors only.
Raised Seat Lift. When the seat lift is raised, the
maximum speed is reduced to 1.4 m.p.h. (2.2 km/h).
Warning!
People or objects should never be
carried on the footplates at any time as could lead
to the Powerchair becoming unstable and a
hazard to others.
Warning!
Be aware that when setting off if the
castors are not straight, the initial movement
could be sideways.
