Device Configuration Management
1. Device Configuration Manager
DCM (Device Configuration Management) is a function to migrate the
device settings information (Settings/Registration Basic Information and
Service Mode Settings) as backup data, installation (replacement/mass
installation) to the same model or installation to a different model.
The settings can be imported/exported using Remote UI, service mode, or
imageWARE Enterprise Management Console DCM function.
Backup data can be stored to the PC via Remote UI and to USB memory
media or the HDD via the service mode
Refer to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8700 Service Manual for
details.
2. Device Migration Navigator
The Device Migration Navigator is an application that can help the service
technician select the best tool (Remote UI, USB Memory Media) to migrate
device settings for installation (replacement/mass installation) and/or data
backup/restoration.
Notes:
• Available at no charge from the
Download Center.
• Available for the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8700 with the
imagePASS Server attached
• This process is not to be confused with the process to back up or restore
RAM Data
