Error Messages and Troubleshooting

The Liberty
TM
Blood Glucose Monitoring System has
been designed to work accurately under most usual
conditions. On rare occasions, the meter will display an
error message instead of a glucose result. The Liberty
system is able to detect specifi c problems which may
allow you to determine the cause of the error without
wasting valuable test strips.
When you are presented with an error message, check
for common problems that may explain the source of
the error.
Two common errors are listed below:
The meter may return an error code if it is being used
near electrical equipment (like a power generator or a
computer monitor).
If the meter rattles when shaken, there may be a
broken component inside the meter which may cause
error messages. In this case, call customer service.
