The chain length of the hoist EKZT 501-1 is 3 meters and
it has 157 knots. Fig. 7 shows the specific dimensions of
the chain.
Daily check of chain hoist
Step 1: Inspect chain links, hooks, and hook retainers for
wear and external damage before each use.
Step 2: Inspect the chain hoist for external damage and
for completeness and tightness of all bolts and
nuts before each use.
Maintenance Schedule
The gears are filled with grease during assembly and
should not be replaced unless the gears have been re-
moved from the housing and degreased.
Rotor bearings are pre-lubricated and do not require lu-
brication. Needle roller bearings are filled with grease
during assembly and should not be relubricated.
However, if the housings, the lifting wheel or the disc
wheel have been degreased, these bearings should be
greased with lithium grease.
Remove / install load chain on modell EKZT 301-1
Step 1: Remove the chain bag (Fig.8).
Step 2: Remove the hook lock (Fig.8). Press the '' UP ''
button and let the chain out of the hoist.
Step 3: Press the "Down" button while pulling on the new
chain until the old chain comes out of the hoist.
Step 4: Attach the hook block to the new chain.
Step 5: Remove the chainstop ball from the old chain
(Fig.8) and secure it to the new chain by reu-
sing the chainbolt.

Step 1: Remove the chain bag (Fig.9).
Step 2: Remove the hook lock (Fig.9). Press the '' UP ''
button and let the chain out of the hoist.
Step 3: Press the "Down" button while pulling on the new
chain until the old chain comes out of the hoist.
Step 4: Attach the hook block to the new chain.
Step 5: Remove the chainstop ball from the old chain
(Fig.9) and secure it to the new chain by reu-
sing the chainbolt.
