Digital Tachometer

Digital tachometer (14, Figure 32-10) displays the
engine crankshaft speed in revolutions per minute
(rpm).
Governed rpm:
Low Idle - 750 rpm
High Idle, No load - 1950 rpm maximum
High Idle, Full Load - 1900 rpm
Right Turn Signal Indicator
Light

Right turn signal indicator light

(15, Figure 32-10) illuminates to
indicate the right turn signals are
operating.
High Beam Headlight
Indicator Light
High beam headlight indicator
light (16, Figure 32-10), when lit,
indicates that the truck head-
lights are on high beam.

Left Turn Signal Indicator Light

Left turn signal indicator light (17,
Figure 32-10) illuminates to indi-
cate the left turn signals are
operating.
Digital Speedometer/Payload Meter
Display
Digital
speedometer/payload
display (18, Figure 32-10) indicates
the truck speed in miles per hour (mph). With an
optional speedometer, it may indicate the truck
speed in kilometers per hour (kph). The display also
shows the payload meter information. For more infor-
mation, see Payload Meter, Section 60.

Voltmeter Gauge

Voltmeter gauge (19, Figure 32-
10) indicates the voltage of the
24V battery system. Normal indi-
cated voltage at high rpm is 27 to
28 volts with the batteries in the
fully charged condition. When
key switch (1) is in the RUN posi-
tion and the engine is stopped, the voltmeter gauge
indicates the battery charge condition.

Engine Oil Pressure Gauge

Engine oil pressure gauge (20,
Figure 32-10) indicates the pres-
sure in the engine lubrication
system in pounds per square
inch
(psi).
Normal
operating
pressure after engine warm up is
138 - 250 kPa (20 to 35 psi) at idle speed. If oil pres-
sure is below this range, a problem may exist. Shut
the engine off and notify maintenance personnel.
Engine Water Temperature
Gauge
Engine
water
temperature
gauge (21, Figure 32-10) indi-
cates the temperature of the
coolant in the engine cooling
system. The temperature range
after engine warm-up in normal conditions is 74° -
91°C (165° - 195°F). Temperatures outside of this
range may indicate a problem.
