Lamp Test Switch/Centry™
Diagnostic Test Switch
This switch may be used for
the lamp test, and for Cen-
try™ diagnostic tests (8) on
engines equipped with Cen-
try™ fuel control.
The lamp test switch is provided to allow the operator
to test the indicator lamps prior to starting the engine.
To test the lamps and the warning horn, turn key
switch (1, Figure 32-10) to the RUN position, and
press the bottom side of the rocker switch for the
CHECK position. All lamps will illuminate, except
those which are for optional equipment that is not
installed. The warning horn will also sound. Any
lamps that do not illuminate indicate a problem in that
circuit. Notify maintenance before driving the truck.
Releasing the spring-loaded switch will allow the
switch to return to the OFF position.

with the Centry™ fuel control, refer to Centry™ Diag-
nostics at the end of this chapter.

TROLLEY INDICATOR LIGHTS

Refer to Figure 32-11, columns 7 and 8.
Diesel Power Indicator
When the truck is being operated
by diesel power the diesel power
indicator (A7) will light. The
amber light will be off when the
truck is on the trolley.
Ready For Trolley Indicator
The ready for trolley indicator
lamp (B7) lights when the master
control lever is in one of the trol-
ley speed lever selection posi-
tions, but the truck has not yet
automatically switched to use
from the trolley line power. When the amber indicator
light is on, it means that the sequence has been com-
pleted for trolley operation. If the indicator does not
light after the master control lever is moved to one of
the truck speed positions, the sequence has not
been completed and there will be no trolley opera-
tion. During diesel operation (when the master con-
trol lever is in the straight up position) the light will be
off.
On Trolley Indicator
After all conditions have been
met for trolley operation, the on
trolley indicator (C7) will light to
indicate the truck is being pow-
ered through the trolley system.
The indicator is green. The trol-
ley power indicator lights whenever the trolley lines
are providing the power to the wheel motors.
