2 TEST PROCEDURE
2.1 BEFORE YOU START
Always use clean gloves.
Ensure sponge applicator is clean. This will prevent contamination of filter papers.
Check expiry date of the ABC Solution (marked on label of bottle).
2.2 PROCEDURE
1. Place one filter paper on sponge.
2. Spray ABC Solution onto filter paper until paper is saturated. Approximately 4 pumps of spray are
sufficient.
3. Using gloved hand, remove filter paper from sponge and place filter paper onto surface to be tested.
4. Examine filter paper:
• If solution turns blue, surface has amine residue (or is alkaline, pH above 6).
• If solution turns yellow, surface has a pH at or below 6 and has no amine residue.
5. Place used filter paper in waste storage compartment in carrying case.
If amine residue is present, clean surface and repeat steps 1 to 5.
N
: Allow filter papers to dry before disposal in landfill waste.
