Pre-Installation Tasks
Complete the following tasks before installing the DC power supply:
•
Verify DC Power Compliance of Matrix X Modules
•
Prepare Site Wiring for DC Power Installation (page 1‐8)
Verify DC Power Compliance of Matrix X Modules
All installed modules must meet both the 940 part number and the 940 revision minimum
requirements for DC power.
•
If you are converting an existing AC‐powered Matrix X Router system to DC power
follow the procedure in Converting Existing AC‐powered Matrix X Router Systems to
DC.
•
If the system is a new a Matrix X DC‐powered installation follow the procedure in
New DC Power Matrix X System Installations (page 1‐7).
Converting Existing AC-powered Matrix X Router Systems to DC
If the system currently uses AC power and is transitioning to DC, follow this procedure to
verify DC power compliance of all modules.

From the CLI, run the show system hardware command. In the following
example, output from running the show system hardware cm 1 command is
shown to illustrate information for a DC power‐compliant CM module.
