2.5 Serial communication

The evaluation board allows for easy serial communication with the NORA-B1 module and a connected
computer. The J-Link debug interface IC provides three virtual COM port (VCP) devices:
• The first (VCOM0) is used to obtain debug output and communicate with the network core.
• The second (VCOM1) is not normally used, although it is available through test points on the EVK.
• The third (VCOM2) is used to obtain debug output information and communicate with the
application core.
VCOM Port functions connected to the NORA-B1 module can be disabled through SW2 to allow use
of the GPIO pin for an application function.
Table 6 describes the function and test points for each module pin.
