Check the engine oil level before each use or every 8
hours of operation.
1. Place the generator on a level surface and allow the
engine to cool for several minutes.
2. Remove the oil dipstick and wipe the dipstick clean.

Acceptable Oil Level – On the flat side of the dipstick, oil

ENGINE OIL CHANGE

When using the generator in dusty conditions or extremely
hot weather, change the oil more frequently. Change the
oil while the engine is still warm from operation.
1. Place the generator on a level surface and allow the
engine to cool for several minutes.
2. With a damp rag, clean around the oil fill cap. Remove
the oil fill cap.
3. Place an oil pan (or suitable container) under the oil
drain hose.
4. Remove the oil drain hose from the retaining clip. Open

non-resistor-type spark plug. Use of resistor-type spark
plug can result in rough idling, misfire, or may prevent
the engine from starting.

use or six months. Replace the spark plugs after 300 hours
of use or every year.
