Description
EMS console redirection allows the user to configure Console Redirection
Settings to support Out-of-Band Serial Port management.
Options available: Enabled, Disabled. Default setting is Disabled.
Press [Enter] to configure advanced items.
Please note that this item is configurable when Serial Port for Out-of-
Band Management EMS Console Redirection is set to Enabled.
Out-of-Band Mgmt Port
Š
– Microsoft Windows Emergency Management Service (EMS) allows
for remote management of a Windows Server OS through a serial
port.
– Default setting is COM1.
Terminal Type EMS
Š
– Selects a terminal type to be used for console redirection.
– Options available: VT100, VT100PLUS, VT-UTF8, ANSI. Default
setting is VT100PLUS.
Bits per second EMS
Š
– Selects the transfer rate for console redirection.
– Options available: 9600, 19200, 57600, 115200. Default setting is
115200.
Flow Control EMS
Š
– Flow control can prevent data loss from buffer overflow. When
sending data, if the receiving buffers are full, a 'stop' signal can
be sent to stop the data flow. Once the buffers are empty, a 'start'
signal can be sent to re-start the flow. Hardware flow control uses
two wires to send start/stop signals.
– Options available: None, Hardware RTS/CTS, Software Xon/Xoff.
Default setting is None.
