OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Fan Operation

Fan Speeds: Three speed settings give the customer total control of their fan at the push of
a button.
Timer: This collection features a time-delay off feature to automatically shut the fan off after
1 to 9 minutes to conveniently clear the smoke and grease after cooking. To program the
time-delay feature, press the button with the clock icon while the machine is on and then use
the lowest speed setting button to toggle between 1 to 9 minutes.

Grease Disposal

WARNING!
Do not remove filters or grease cups immediately after cooking or if grease is
still hot.
Nonstick-coated fan blades will separate grease from the air and the grease will then be
deposited into a grease cup for easy, convenient disposal. You will find the grease cup in a
bag with the bracket and screws in the box. The grease cup can be used in conjunction with
the mesh filters with certain models, while others can only use one or the other.
Tip: Soak all parts in soapy water if there is heavy grease.

Changing Light bulbs

Ensure that the light switch is not on while changing lights, the unit does not need to be
unplugged/ shut off. If you have halogen lights, ensure that the lights have fully cooled before
changing the bulbs.
1.Remove the grease filters and push the light case downward from the machine.
2.Disconnect the connecting wires of the light socket from the wires that travel to the
motherboard of the unit and the light will be free.
Halogen Lights:
1.Once the light has been removed from the machine, use a small flathead screwdriver to
insert into the gap and gently pry on the glass cover to release.
2.Remove the light bulb and discard it.
3.Using tissue or gloves, install the new light bulb and put the glass lens back in place.
*The oils on our skin may diminish the illumination of a halogen bulb.
LED Lights:
1.Discard the disconnected light assembly and install the new one.
*The style of the light may have changed; all wall mounted range hoods use the same shape
light.
MAINTENANCE
NOTICE!
Filters should be cleaned approximately once every 30 to 40 hours of use.
Baffle Filters
With Knobs:
Removal: In order to remove the baffle filters, push downwards on the knob near the front
of the machine while holding the knob on the opposite end to support it and pull the filter
downwards and away from the machine.
The filters can be taken apart into 2 pieces for easy clean up in the dishwasher or by hand.
With Latches:
Removal: In order to remove the baffle filters, pull the latch down with one hand on the filter
to support it and pull the filter downwards and away from the machine.
The filters should not be taken apart. For stubborn grease, simply soak the filters in warm
water prior to putting them in the dishwasher.
Mesh Filters (Your filters may discolour with each wash)
Mesh filters are NOT dishwasher safe
Soak in the sink with warm soapy water (dawn soap works great) and scrub with a soft bristled
brush then rinse with fresh water. Air dry the filters or use paper towels to pat them dry.
Any degreaser used should be safe to use on aluminum and diluted with water. Direct contact
with degreasers may badly tarnish the filters.
