■ Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery outside of the ambient temperature range
specified. Charging improperly or outside the specified
range may damage the battery and increase the risk of
fire.
■ Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts.
■ Do not modify or attempt to repair the blower or the battery
pack. Follow the instructions for use and care.

9 Before Starting Work

9.1

Preparing the Blower for Operation

Before starting work:
► Fully charge the battery, @ 12.
► Adjust the blower tube, @ 10.1.
► Adjust the nozzle, @ 10.2.
► Put on and adjust the blower , @ 11.3.
► Check the controls for proper function and condition,
@ 16.

10 Assembling the Blower

10.1 Mounting the Blower Tube

WARNING
Never operate your blower without a properly mounted
blower tube and nozzle, @ 5.6.4. Use only attachments
supplied or expressly approved by STIHL, @ 5.5.

To mount the blower tube:

► Push the elbow clamp (2) onto the elbow (1).
► Push the pleated hose (3) onto the elbow.
► Line up the positioning marks on the pleated hose and
elbow.
► Slide the elbow clamp down over the pleated hose.
► Make sure the positioning marks on the elbow clamp and
elbow line up.
The screw lug (5) should be on the underside of the elbow.
► Secure the elbow clamp with the screw (4).

► Push the blower tube clamp (6) onto the blower tube (7).
► Push the blower tube into the pleated hose (3) with the
control handle (10) facing up.
► Slide the blower tube clamp over the pleated hose with the
screw lug (9) on the underside of the blower tube.
► Secure the blower tube clamp with the screw (8).
