Assembling Assembling Assemble the printer Four or more people are required to assemble this printer. CAUTION Procedure for assembling the stand Follow the procedure below to assemble the stand. Assemble the right stand. Attach the right leg part to the right base part so that four screw holes in the base part are at the front.

Fasten the connector bar to the left stand in the same way Stand (left) as in Step 5. Detaching fastening materials Follow the procedure below to detach all protective materials. Remove all tapes from each cover. Open the left maintenance cover, then place the tray. Open the front cover. Remove a screw from the carriage bracket and then remove the bracket.

If you are using 2L ink bag, release the lock of divider plate in the case, and then put the ink bag into the case. Important! If you are using 1L ink bag, always lock the divider plate. Close the ink bag case. Important! Make sure the spout of ink bag is properly fitted into the groove in the case.

Loading Roll Media into the printer Turn the printer ON. Press! Raise the media setting lever. Open the front cover. Load the roll media to Media feed slot. Note If the end of the roll media is not wound tightly, wind it tightly again, and then load it. Pull the roll media out about 1 m from the front Media feed slot.

Rewind the roll media a little by rolling Flange on Roll media holder while holding the edge of the media, and eliminate any slack or slant. Note If you set the roll media free while rewinding, the roll media may fall out from Media feed slot and fall toward the back of the printer.

After loading the media... “Lever Up” is displayed on the Operation panel. Lever Up Lower the media setting lever. Make sure that the edges of the media is appropriately pressed by Pressurizing rollers. Set the media holder at both edges of the media. Keep the part circled with a dotted line in the figure to the left pressed to set the media holder. • If the edges of the media are loose, press them down when setting the media holder.

Nozzle check and cleaning Run the nozzle check printing, and if there is nozzle missing, carry out cleaning. Nozzle check steps Load the media to be used for the nozzle check. “Test Printing” P.19 Give the [Nozzle Check] key a long press, for 2 seconds or more. Nozzle check patterns will be printed.

If there is no improvement in the print result even after performing “Little Charge” , leave the printer unused for an hour or more. Then perform “Little Charge” again and check the print result. If there is still no improvement, contact your local Mutoh dealer. Note Before connecting to a computer to print, configure the IP address, subnet mask and gateway.
