Hazard Classifications
The following hazard classifications are used throughout the ADTRAN document suite:
!
DANGER
DANGER indicates a hazard with a high level of risk which, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
!
WARNING
WARNING indicates a hazard with a medium level of risk which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
!
CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a hazard with a low level of risk which, if not avoided,
could result in minor or moderate injury. CAUTION may also alert against
unsafe practices associated with events that could lead to personal injury.
NOTICE
NOTICE indicates a potentially hazardous situation not related to personal
injury, such as messages related to property or equipment damage only.
NOTICE may also indicate imperative product operation information
which, if not followed, could result in extremely undesirable results, such
as loss of network traffic or system communications.
NOTE
NOTE indicates additional, but essential, information.
