4 Preparation Preparation 4.1 Connecting up a bacteria filter A bacteria filter prevents against renewed infection of the patient in cases of infectious diseases and prevents contaminations or infections being passed on to the next patient when changing between patients. 1.

With the Bi softPAP pressure variant, the IPAP (pressure during inspiration) and the EPAP (pressure during expiration) are attained during one breathing cycle.
