FLUDEX couplings are suitable for both directions of rotation. FLUDEX couplings from the FN series can be installed in a horizontal, inclined or vertical po- sition. They are suitable for use with oil. In case of a steeply inclined or vertical mounting position, the hub carrier part (120) (large prechamber) must be attached at the bottom.
  • Page 22: Design Of The Couplings

163 Screw plug 173 Prechamber drain plug The FLUDEX coupling consists of an inner rotor and a housing supported on it. The inner ro- tor includes the shaft (106) on which the bucket wheel (105) is mounted. The housing in- cludes the cover (102) and the blade shell (101), which are connected to each other via a flange bolt connection.
  • Page 23 Description 3.1 Design of the couplings The housing and the inner rotor are double mounted one inside the other and sealed by shaft sealing rings. With series FN, the hub carrier part (120, at the same time carrier hub and large precham- ber) is attached to the blade shell (101).
