Kernel protocol

Selecting the Kernel protocol menu item in the Status menu will display the kernel log file created by
the access point operating system. The kernel protocol contains information that may help you
troubleshoot while operating the device.

Processes

The Processes menu item in the Status menu provides an overview of system processes that are cur-
rently running together with their status. For each process, you also have the option to Hang up,
End, and Kill. Hang up stops the process and makes the system wait until a restart is initiated. Any
memory used is not released. End and Kill finish the process and free up the memory. The only dif-
ference is that End saves the process data before the process ends, while Kill does not.

Disabling essential processes may render the device's web interface inaccessible, for example.
