WLAN network configuration

Go to WLAN network configuration to change the network-specific settings of the access point, such
as the WLAN encryption or the operating mode.
Adapt the parameters of the interface configuration to the requirements of your network.
General settings
The ESSID, mode and network parameters are found in the General settings.

The factory default ESSID (Extended Service Set Identifier) is wienet-AP or wienet-AP-3P, depending
on which model is used.
The Mode of the access point in the interface configuration controls the operating modes of the de-
vice. The factory-set mode is Access Point in a network with the LAN interface. Various scenarios for
the access point operating mode are shown in Chapter 7 Scenarios for use, page 21. Depending on
the operating mode, you must also adjust the Network parameter accordingly.
The WMM mode (Wi-Fi multimedia) is an expansion of the WLAN standard in order to improve the
wireless transfer of multimedia content and IP telephony. The WMM mode is activated as a default
setting.
