WEB INTERFACE OF THE ACCESS POINT

This chapter provides information about the basic operation and configuration of the access point
via the built-in web interface. Also take note of the more detailed information in Chapter 11 Service
and Support, page 80.
This user manual only describes the configuration of the network components in the IPv4 protocol.
If you require a network configuration when using IPv6, please consult the more detailed infor-
mation provided in Chapter 11 Service and Support, page 80.
In the following sections, the system background color has been changed to black to make it easier
to distinguish between text and inserted screenshots. The background default setting is white. Refer
to 8.3 for instructions on how to change the background color.
8.1

Access to the web interface

To gain access to the web interface of the access point, you will require a suitable web browser (e.g.
Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)
In your web browser, select the IP address of the access point that you configured during the course
of the device configuration (Chapter 6.3 Configuring the access point, page 19) as your URL. In the
example, the URL that must be entered is 192.168.1.1.
Enter the user name and password required for authorization. The factory default for the user name
and password is root.
