Web interface of the access point
Advanced settings
In the Advanced settings, you can define the fragmentation threshold (determines the maximum size
of the packets sent) and the RTS/CTS (request to send/clear to send) threshold. Lower values in-
crease stability, while higher values increase performance.
Each WAP (Wireless Access Point) transmits management data packets called beacon frames at reg-
ular intervals. The access point uses beacon frames to transmit certain configuration and security
information as well as the SSID (Service Set Identification) to WLAN clients. The time interval be-
tween two consecutive beacon frames is called the beacon interval. Beacon intervals are specified in
time intervals, whereby each time interval is equal to 1024 microseconds. The beacon interval usu-
ally has 100 time units and is therefore 102.4 ms.
