Resetting the factory device configuration

Select the Reset button. All configuration files of the access point will be reset to the factory configu-
ration by this function. Wait until the STATUS LED (green) remains on (after approximately 90 sec-
onds).
Please note that when resetting the factory settings, the current individual access point configura-

tion settings will be deleted. If necessary, you should save your configuration before resetting.
8.14.4

Updating the firmware

The option Write new firmware image can be used to overwrite the firmware currently being used for
the access point with the firmware from a corresponding image file. Press the Update firmware but-
ton, click Browse, select the backup file you wish to use and then press Upload to confirm.
Wait until the STATUS LED (green) is permanently lit (after approximately 90 seconds).
You should never interrupt the power supply to the access point while an update is being carried

out! This could result in damage to the device.
As a precaution, save the device configurations as described in Chapter 8.14.1 Backing up the device

configurations, page 52, before updating the firmware each time.
You can download images for firmware updates for the device from the Wieland eShop. Only carry
NOTE
out a firmware update if you experience problems with the operation of the device or if the Wieland
Customer Support requests you to carry out an update. Also note the information available in the
Wieland eShop regarding firmware updates for your model version.
8.15

Restart

You can restart the access point at any time via the Restart menu item in the System menu. Select
the Restart dialog for this purpose. Wait until the STATUS LED (green) remains on (after approxi-
mately 35 seconds).

8.16

System protocol

Under the System protocol menu item in the Status menu, you will see the log file compiled by the
access point operating system. The system protocol contains information that may help you trou-
bleshoot while operating the device.
