Self-booting without a Local Ethernet Interface

When booting the Model 5390 server from the Flash ROM without a local Ethernet interface:

Enter the ROM Monitor prompt from the console.

Set the IP address to a valid IP address and the subnet mask to a valid mask using the
addr command.

Set the interface sequence to self using the sequence command.

Boot the Model 5390 server.

Using the Model 5390 FTP Daemon

Using the Model 5390 FTP daemon, you can upload or download files (those visible through the
superuser CLI ls and edit commands) in the Model 5390 server's nonvolatile memory (EEPROM)
from a remote host.
