    The layout of these operating instructions is extremely user-friendly, offer- ing a step by step guide to the operation of OpenStage 5 SIP. Administra- tive tasks are described in a separate manual. The quick reference guide provides concise explanations of frequently used functions.

    (server based) Programmable Keys The OpenStage 5 SIP is equipped with 8 function keys all of which are user-programmable on two levels (the "Shift" keys should be retained). Two of these keys are pre-assigned in the first level.

The numeric keypad is used for dialing phone numbers. You can choose to dial a normal phone number (E.164 phone number) or a URL. The number of digits in an E.164 number is restricted to 20 digits.

Off-Hook Dialing Lift the handset. Enter the phone number. The called party does not answer or is busy: Replace the handset.
