On all Client and Server machines, from the Windows Start menu,
choose Run.
Type cmd in the Open box.
Click OK to start the MS-DOS cmd window.
A Command window appears.
At the prompt, change the directory to the location of the CCM 2.3
files. For example, if the files are in C:\TempCCM, enter:
cd /D C:\TempCCM
On the Client and Server machines, run the CCM 2.3 installation
program—the install2_3.bat file—and provide the following
parameters:
Specify the path to the temporary folder containing the new CCM
2.3 files.
Specify the path to the folder containing the CCM 2.2 or CCM
2.2.1 installation.
Note: This parameter is the previous version of the CCM
installation that you wish to upgrade.
In the following example command, there is one space between
Nortel and Networks:
install2_3.bat C:\TempCCM C:\Program Files\Nortel
Networks\CCM
Note: If CCM 2.3 is installed in the default directories, you only
need enter install2_3.bat C:\TempCCM.
On Server machines, the installation script runs CCM Server to begin
data migration. An INSTALL_COMPLETE message appears when the
installation completes. This can take several minutes.
Note: CCM 2.3 creates placeholders for the migrated devices
on the CCM navigation tree. In step 16 of this procedure you are
asked to reimport these devices to complete data migration.
On all CCM Server machines, start the Server.
