7.4. Periodic checks

All of the operations described in this chapter MUST ALWAYS BE CARRIED OUT BY
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. Before carrying out any work on the appliance or accessing
internal components, make sure that the electrical power supply has been disconnected.
Before starting work, safety checks must be carried out to ensure that there is the least
risk of combustion possible. Work should be carried out to a controlled procedure, to
minimise the risk of the presence of flammable gases or vapours during the work. The
area must be checked using a suitable refrigerant gas detector before and during the work.
Maintenance must only be carried out in weather conditions that are suitable for the
operations envisaged.
